The mathematics element would be much more difficult to learn without the guidance of a tutor; the other course not so difficult. Suggestion - depending on your institution and your own personal commmitment, is there a way you can attend the lectures for the critical thinking class and just not sit the exam. I know it means you do not get the recognition, but it would be a way of obtaining notes and advice from the experts?
