A writing course I've seen recommended several times in writing circles, is one by Nick Daws. I have no personal experience of it, but know a number of people who seem to be very satisfied. Go on the link to 'mywriterscircle' below, (a writing website that I THINK is run by him – but pose the question and numerous people are bound to get back to you – ask people who've used it what they think) – see if it might be of help.

The web itself is a valuable tool to use as well. It has forums, critiques, answers – plus a circle of like-minded people with whom you can discuss problems etc.. Give it a whiz and see if it's any use to you.

    Hope this helps.

This sounds self-serving (because I do editing), but one way to improve your skills is to have an editor read and critique your piece. It's not cheap, though.
